Gracie Meadows is a lover of many types of books and when she is not writing or putting her feet up you can find her chasing after her beautiful little minions.
Tell us more about you and what drew you to your genre?
I started writing as a dare actually. A friend of mine read erotic romances and we joked about how the girl was so dumb and they wouldn’t actually say “pussy, or cock.” It was annoying. So she dared me to write something steamier, and I did. LOL.
Did you ever think you would become a writer or did your dreams take you elsewhere?
Truthfully, no. I wrote some in high school, poems mostly. But I had always wanted to be on Broadway. It was a dream. Then dreams became a long distance thing, and I joined the fire department and became an EMT and started going to school to become a nurse. Then kids, and moving and it all ended. Went back to school to do medical administration, but ended up getting my MBA figuring I would work on a hospital. Needless to say, it took a weird turn that I am happy about.
Can you share a snippet of your latest book?
I have two coming out soon. But here is a snippet of my new book coming Oct 6th.
“That is true. So, what’s the game plan today?” He slowly ran his hands up and down her exposed legs.
“Umm, hang out with you and then help Cece with some things, but it seems everything changed last night after Mike got to bed.”
“Bed huh? Did he distract you from the storm, baby?” Sliding his hands a little higher, he brushed against her panties making her gasp. “Did he, Abby? Did Mike play with you to keep you distracted?”
“Maybe?”
“Maybe huh? Well I think you need to be checked over to make sure there is no lasting effects from his distraction.” She went to protest, but he cut her off, fusing his mouth to hers. Hot and heavy desire slammed into him. Breaking away, he looked at her before stepping back, handing her a hospital gown.
“I will be back once you changed. Oh and, Abby, make sure it opens in the front.” Her mouth gaped open before he exited the room. Readjusting his cock, he went to the front to see if he had any patients near Abby’s room, but lucky for him there were none.
“I’m going to be doing an exam in room three, it will take a bit, so if an emergency comes in, Dr. Ray is watching over the other patents. He can handle things.” Emerson also knew the likelihood an emergency would happen in this town were few and far between. But he was a professional, and he needed to cover all his bases. Unable to hide the small bout of excitement at playing doctor with his mate, it made him wonder if Dr. Ray had ever done that. Yuck, shaking his head at the disgusting thought, he went back to Abby’s room, knocking like he normally would, before opening the door. Standing before him was Abby sitting back on the exam table, smiling with the gown on, holding it tightly closed.
Deciding the play this up a bit, he cleared his throat. “So, Abigail, I have been told you were involved in some strenuous actives last night. I want to make sure I check everywhere that was affected. So please make sure you point them out to me, and please, tell me everything. I can’t help you fully without knowing all the details.” She gave a small nod, and watched him with a small glint of excitement in her eyes.
“Please lay back on the table with your arms at the side.” He went over to the sink while she did and washed his hands. The rustling of paper let him know she had followed his directions. Turning around, he had to keep a straight face, because of the wicked things he was going to do with her. Oh playing doctor was never going to be better than it was today.
What is your most favourite snack to eat whilst you write?
It used to be twizzlers and wine. Yes I know Im weird, but it worked. However being pregnant, I have switched to oranges and water. I know not as awesome, but it works for now.
Who are your muse’s for when you create a characters and why?
I use a lot of people I talk to, or even watch on a daily bases as characters. Everyone has such weird habits they don’t even notice until I write them out. I never create my characters per say, they just show up unexpectedly when I watch someone.
Do you draw any inspiration of these characters from yourself
I do add a little bit of weird in there for sure. I am the strangest person, I really am. So sometimes people who know me will read something, and say “OMG that is so you.”
Out of all your characters who do you love the most.
That is SOOO hard to determine. I enjoy all the girls from Heels for Hire, as they got spunk. But I think I like Faith from Razor’s mark. Simply because she is very soft, yet strong. Her simple straight forward way of thinking and her need to understand everything is something I understand.
Do you draw on any of your own life experiences?
LOL… Yes I do! In a lot of different ways. Yes the sexy ways, and even the personal issues and experiences they go through, I draw from my own life.
What authors do you fangirl over?
Who don’t I? I love just about anyone and everything. I don’t ever think of myself as an author or anything big, so when someone talks to me and I have read their work I get all squealy!
If you or one of your characters could be on a reality show would you? And what show would it be?
Oh, wow, interesting question. This is hard. For me, umm, I did that route, wasn’t for me. (American idol, yes laugh now). But my characters, well I would say maybe the Heels for Hire girls on a survivor team series or something. They would totally kick ass!
Do you do any personal research for your books 😉 😉
Yes, my husband loves research… Need I say more? Heheheh
If one of your books was made in to a movie which one would it be and who would play lead characters.
Again, this is a tough one. But honestly, I see one book that could be turned into one of those hallmark movies. That would be “Till my Last breath.” It’s a book not many people have read yet, but it one that gets me every time. Characters, yikes, I see Oliver as Tom Welling, Charlie as Kristin Kreuk and Patrick would be Clint Eastwood.
