I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

This is a complete new series for Lynne St. James as well as a new genre and I have to say I am impressed kudo’s to her.

This book will take you on a Roller Coaster of emotions it will uplift you and have you reaching for your tissues at the same time.

Beth’s whole life has changed forever with just one phone call.

There had been an accident which left her ex-husband and daughter fighting for their lives. So Beth Puts her own life on hold, As she spends most of her time in the hospital focusing on her daughter, praying that she will pull through while her ex’s condition goes downhill fast, It forces her to make one of the hardest and biggest decisions of her whole life.

Lieutenant Thomas “Mac” MacDonald pulled three of his unit’s soldiers from their Humvee which was on fire after a roadside bomb explodes in Afghanistan. He has sustained a severe head injury that has left him believing that he is dying, until he wakes up state-side alive but without his sight.

One chance meeting with Beth whilst he is volunteering at the hospital and he is instantly attracted to her. As Mac struggles to come to grips with what his new life has dealt to him, he finds that his every waking thoughts are always turning to this woman that he barely even knows.

Beth is trying so so hard to deny this attraction that she is feeling for Mac, She feels guilty as she should be focusing all her time and energy on her daughter’s recovery. But no matter how hard they fight this instant attraction, they find that their feelings for one another grow daily.

Can Beth truly overcome the need to shield her heart from love and let Mac in to it?

Can Mac overcome his fear’s to tell Beth his secret? Or will she turn him away when she finds out this secret of who’s responsible for him getting his sight back?

This book takes you on an amazing journey one of discovery, love and life. I thought it was truly beautiful as well heart-wrenching especially the beginning of the book it had me in tears, just the whole fight for survival and Mac will to live had me.

Mac was such an amazing character he has these qualities about him that just make you fall in love with him over and over again, like how he volunteers in the children’s hospital and tells them these awesome stories which I found so endearing. I also loved his camaraderie with his friend Tag, I love how they are there for each other. these two have such an awesome friendship.

Beth wow she is an awesome character and a brilliant mum as well as being a very brave lady, she makes such a hard decision one of the hardest of her life, she has to face her daughter as well which just about kills her. I love how Beth was able to overcome so much and build her life back up and let love right back in again. I also have to say I adored her daughter what a brave young girl.

My most favourite part of the book was Mac and how in the beginning all he knew was Beth’s voice and when he finally see’s her he knows deep down that she is something special.

And Tag omg please say he will have a book he so needs one as well as an amazing Happily Ever After.

About cariadbooksblog

Hi Everyone! My name is Heidi and I hail from the beautiful city of Cardiff. When I’m not lost in a book you can find me crafting. I love to make and create unique and awesome author swag as well as custom designs, Jewellery and just about anything else that I can teach myself. I’m also a total film junkie, too. I love romances (obviously!), comedies and Disney films. My true passion in life, though? Reading. I love the way you can pick a book up and get immersed in it. While I read romance of all types, I especially enjoy menage and paranormal and all the naughty taboo books. I’m planning to blog most days of the week. It might be a cover reveal for an upcoming release I’m excited about or teasers. You’re most likely to find a review. Authors, if you’d like me to review your book, be sure to contact me!
