I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
Its common knowledge that I am a huge massive fan of Lori King, every single book she writes is just amazing I am in sheer awe of her.
This is Book 3 of the Gray Pack.
The Whetstone brothers are hotter than Hades and built like Vikings as well as that they are a force to be reckoned with. Rafe and Ryley are Beta Wolves of the Gray Pack, these are the strongest men in there pack, and they are also firefighters for the Kansas City Fire Department.
It has been twenty long years since their parents had disappeared. Know all they want and dream of is finding their mate, and having a family of there very own. But fate has other ideas and has thrown a big wrench in their plans it so happens that its in the form of there mate …Shandi Martin.
Shandi Martin is a fighter she has fought cancer for her very life, and was utterly destroyed when her boyfriend who she thought would stand by her especially at a time like this just leaves her.
So why in the hell would she ever want to risk losing her heart again to any man? Facing her destiny is harder than she ever thought, especially know as she realizes that she had stopped living her life to the fullest in order to protect her heart. But just as there new found relationship is progressing beautifully a mysterious rogue wolf threatens them and their new relationship, they must make a hard choice. Can they all accept a life with just one another, or do they really need a family just to be happy?
What a beautifully written book as always Lori brings us so much, suspense, turmoil and romance as well as some super hot sexy scenes no wonder I keep falling in love with her Gray Pack over and over with each book I read.
With Rafe and Ryley I loved how they have distinct and separate traits with each of them having their own personalities sort of yin and yang of each other. I even loved how they had so much emotional baggage because of how there parents left them it totally made me fall for these two hunky wolves even more. Ooo and I need to add just how amazing they are with Shandi so kind caring and gentle.
Shandi has had it so hard know these two hunky men think that they can have her heart that easily ……… mmm nope not going to happen. Shandi kicks up a storm before she allows these two hulks to creep in to her heart. But they soon do that and more, I totally love there chemistry and the build up even with there ups and downs you no they are meant to be together, her character is just amazing I totally felt for her as well as wanting to hug her and be her friend.
And the secondary characters that make appearances are brilliant I just loved the interactions with Devin, Damon, Caroline, Liam & Tina, Whitney, Tawny, the Diego Pack it just adds a bit more Laughter,Drama to the book. I totally want to no more about Delaky she is so intriguing.
Excerpt that I loved it made me laugh 🙂
Big feet mean big–” Jennifer was saying, but Lily interrupted her with a laugh.
“That’s a load of crap. My last boyfriend wore a size fourteen shoe, but his was pinky sized. I don’t buy into that old story at all.” Lily snorted.
“Well, you remember Dale? That guy I took home on our last girls’ night out? He made a believer out of me, and I for one will pay attention to all of the clues before selecting another bedmate,” Jennifer said with a big cocky grin. Shandi couldn’t help but roll her eyes at her friend’s comfort with her own sexuality.
Unable to bite back her response, she smarted off, “Shoe size has nothing to do with penis size. If it did there wouldn’t be a single man with a shoe size over a 12 left in the world.”
It wasn’t until both of her friends started to snicker that she realized she had spoken fairly loudly. There were several other patrons of the bar currently chuckling at her bold statement. One particularly deep rumble of mirth came from her right. The direction of the two sexy Viking Firemen she was trying to ignore.
She whipped her head around to find herself face-to-face with the two men who had been starring in her sexual fantasies for the day. They were both smiling like dogs stalking the mail man, and she swallowed hard before turning back to stare into the bottom of her mug of beer.”
See hilarious right?
I cannot wait for the next instalment to this wonderful series.
