I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
This is the first book in the Crawley Creek series but the second where many of the characters appear you would have meet the matriarchs Abe and Sera Crawley in the wonderful prequel beginnings, we are now 30 years in the future where unfortunately they have both passed away, but one thing is for sure there legacy and there morales live on through the lives of four handsome stubborn men.
Lacy Denvers has once again lost her job, and she has very nearly lost her way. She is determined to get her life and career back on track and find some sort of normality again, but first, she has decided to do something different and check off her one item of bucket list.
This is Her dream vacation and she wants to seize the moment try new things learn to ride, and that’s why she has chosen Crawley Creek Cattle Ranch but it soon turns into a lesson of patience when the North Dakota winter comes and proves to be ever so unpredictable as ever. Now wrapped in a cocoon of snow, Lacy is finding that the ranch to be a much needed hidden treasure trove of sexy cowboy eye candy, and her mouth is certainly watering ever so much even though her brain is telling her to run.
After a terrible tragedy a young Drannon Russo ended up fostering with the Crawley family, where he found a loving home. Yes he once moved away and then he had to lean on his family for the ultimate of support when his dreams he had thought were forever got shattered. Being a cowboy on a ranch can be pretty lonesome. But then a stunning redhead shows up at his home looking for a clean and fresh start Drannon is determined to give them both what they really want.
Will lacy dream vacation into the very heart of this vast cattle country turn out to be a big mistake, or will these two find their future together in each others arms forever?
This I believe was a love at first sight romance one that progresses ever so beautifully, Lori King sure knows how to weave a magical spell binding romance one that makes us readers go weak at the knees.
Drannon omg be still my heart what a sexy stubborn and sometimes irritating man, i fell for him hook line and sinker he is a man and a half, he has a past yes just like all of his foster brothers but he owns it so well, he has made mistakes and paid for them.
I adore his passion for Lacy from the moment he claps eyes on her he just knows deep down even though he doesn’t say it that she is the one. he is sweet raw passionate and ever so mmmmm intimate shall i say, be warned you made need a cool drink for those scenes ….. i no i did lol.
Lacy she comes for a vacation to learn something new, but she ends up losing her heart along the way, she is a great character one with a heap load of gumption and determination, she is also just as passionate as Drannon.
One of my most favourite scenes was when Lacy learnt the names of Drannon’s favourite animals they all had them from a certain movie you all may no of The Wizard Of Oz, it is so cute it shows that he has a soft heart underneath his hard exterior.
Another thing i have to say was great was the connection between the brothers and the camaraderie which made me laugh quite a few times.
