I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
Jana Leigh is a completely new author to myself, I was thrilled when i was chosen to review for her. This is the second book in the TRI-X series.
Philadelphia ‘Philly’ Briggs loves her job, and her life. When she comes home to Colorado to work a case, she is thrown in to a crazy assignment, It has her questioning her very own sanity and the ones that are around her.
Roman and Maverick are TRI-X, through and through. However, when they have to work closely with the CIA all bets are off. Especially now they see the woman who they are working with…. she gets there attention immediately now they no this case will be fun.
Philly has always put the mission first, but the men of course have a different opinion, they decide that the mission will be first but they can this mission to get what they want as well. It’s all about multi-tasking.
I have to admit it took me a few chapters to get in to this book, I think its because I haven’t read book one but non the less Jana is a seamless writer.
The storyline was really imaginative and I loved that the plot had all the My Fair lady references to it, and how they went about transforming her from a gutter snipe into someone that would make Henry Higgins proud?
Philly is a tough cookie, she has a smart mouth and an even smarter imagination. she has a great compassionate nature even if it doesn’t show on the outside.
Roman and Maverick these two no what they want when they see it, and they have in Philly. She is there’s even though she tries to deny it and her feelings. I loved all the date nights both of them took her on they were very creative even when they had one thing on there mind …… 🙂
I have to mention Philly’s dog Lucy bless her she must have had doggy radar with Roman and Maverick or she was becoming a doggy cupid 🙂 i loved how she instantly obeyed her new masters much to her mistresses dismay.
one of my favourite parts of the book where you can see the love Philly’s brothers have for her.
“Wow, did you see that, it is like magic and shit. They have her tamed,” Charlie said in a wondrous voice and both of her brothers laughed as Tank set her back down.
“No,” Tank said. “As soon as we walk out the door she will be a hellion again.”
A fantastic read with a little cliffhanger at the end leaving you wanting more, which i no i do.
