How To Marry A Royal Highlander

I was kindly gifted this book via netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

This is the first book iv read by Vanessa Kelly and for sure now it will not be the last. I love historical romances they make me travel back in time to view others love from a different era.

Alasdair Gilbride, is heir to a Scottish earldom at sixteen he ran away from his beloved home in the Highlands to London when he found out some news that he did not like at all, it filled him with horror, he was engaged to his younger cousin and would be married of at eighteen. so Alasdair had no choice at all to live with but his wits. Know Ten years has gone by and he has to return to his home once again to face his grandfather and his responsibilities.

Eden Whitney has found herself in a heap of trouble snubbed by the ton after a minor discretion. She finds herself of to the Highlands till the gossip calms down, she is escorted by her mother and travelling with Alasdair as well Edie is not happy, but has to make the best of it after all its only for a few weeks.

But what Edie doesnt no is Alasdair has feelings for her deep ones. he ends up using Edie to try to break off his engagement which Edie is not happy about at all.

Just as things are going well they get caught up in an affair, Edie soon finds herself falling in love with her Scottish oaf. Can they manage to admit their feelings for each other? or will someone else get in their way?

What a fantastic read, this book is well paced and very easy to read and follow. the characters are very well written and each took a spot in my heart. I adored Edie and her spunky ways she is so lively and bright a great heroine for this book.

What a soft spot i have for Alasdair swoon, he is so gallant and debonair no wonder so many ladies had fallen for him, but he only has eyes for Edie.

I also very much enjoyed Edie mother she was so formidable smile emoticon

what more do you need but a scandal a great romance with some thrills along the way.

About cariadbooksblog

Hi Everyone! My name is Heidi and I hail from the beautiful city of Cardiff. When I’m not lost in a book you can find me crafting. I make cards, blankets, and just about anything else. I’m also a total film junkie, too. I love romances (obviously!), comedies and Disney films. My true passion in life, though? Reading. I love the way you can pick a book up and get immersed in it. While I read romance of all types, I especially enjoy menage and paranormal. I’m planning to blog most days of the week. It might be a cover reveal for an upcoming release I’m excited about or teasers. You’re most likely to find a review. Authors, if you’d like me to review your book, be sure to contact me!
