Lachlan’s Revenge

I Recieved a copy this book from netgalley for my honest opinions and a review.

I do love a good historical romance especially when writers can make you believe you are in that time period and thats what R.L.Syme can do to you.

Lachlan MacLeod is a survivor he survived an English dungeon. He held on and his own under torture and brutality. He survived so much even the death of his wife. He’s managed to take back his home and restore his son’s inheritance just the way it should be in any determined dads eyes.

But the threat from the English has never truly gone. And if he listens to his nephew an invasion is very much immanent. Tired and sick of being subject to the whims of these English scum, Lachlan will no he must take control of his own destiny. And by any means necessary.

Lady Evangeline is the daughter of an invading English earl, she has been raised to a very privilege life and the expectation of marrying higher.

She is very eager to escape her father’s lies and schemes just as Lachlan is as eager to kidnap her, but is that wise ….

These secret she holds close could have very deadly consequences and not just only for Lachlan, but for everyone including his entire clan. But there is this is one secret she cannot wait to spill…

Will Love survive the harsh wilds of Scotland and take hold of both Lachlan and his lady.

This is the first book i have read by R.L. Syme and i was pleasantly surprised i was transporter back and was able to believe i was part of this story even if i was just watching it unfold before my very eyes,

I thought the story had great angst mystery and surprise so watch out readers for those sneaky surprises.

I loved all the characters even if some of them are something to be desired, and Lachlan’s nephew he is some what of a daft twit i did feel sorry for him and i wanted to tell him family means more especially as Lachlan still loved his nephew after all his lies. I guess the saying love can make you foolish applied to him.

A great book well worth a read i only wish i could have read more of this story.

About cariadbooksblog

Hi Everyone! My name is Heidi and I hail from the beautiful city of Cardiff. When I’m not lost in a book you can find me crafting. I love to make and create unique and awesome author swag as well as custom designs, Jewellery and just about anything else that I can teach myself. I’m also a total film junkie, too. I love romances (obviously!), comedies and Disney films. My true passion in life, though? Reading. I love the way you can pick a book up and get immersed in it. While I read romance of all types, I especially enjoy menage and paranormal and all the naughty taboo books. I’m planning to blog most days of the week. It might be a cover reveal for an upcoming release I’m excited about or teasers. You’re most likely to find a review. Authors, if you’d like me to review your book, be sure to contact me!
