This is the first book I have read by Heather Long and it will not be the last, The author writes beautifully and her characters are divine.
Arianna Ferrars, is a minor telepath, she is also a skilled botanist, but her speciality is in the marriage of genomes to create vivid and vibrant blooms not recombinant DNA for scent. When the senior researcher on the highly important scent project just disappear, Arianna is finding herself facing a whole new task. With just a few samples and a fast deadline upon her, Arianna so needs a crash course in not chemistry but people skills and military attaché Colonel Brandon is the man for the job.
John Brandon has been working undercover amongst the humans it gives him all the access and information he needs to find the latest or potential threats against the clans that he works tirelessly yo protect.
Know that Project Pryde has come across his desk, he is making it his personal business to find out why a psi clan wants to work with a high-level human chemists. He Intercepts their request and supply’s himself with information, know he is setting out to seduce the enchanting, lovely Arianna Ferrars so he can learn everything she knows.
The last thing in this world did the white tiger expect to find in this delicate beautiful plant specialist is a treasure that is more precious than anything let alone science.
This book was very compelling and exciting as well as wonderfully romantic all at once it is so beautifully written and I just loved the characters I connected with Arianna on a deep level I totally understood her desire too be alone/hide away I have that same feelings and found that the reason that she was my favourite.
John was totally swoon worthy he touched a place in my heart, he was so vulnerable in a way that totally surprised me.
My favourite part would have to be when Arianna escapes and John comes to get her back and she has the ride of a life time 🙂 No spoilers of me.
This is my favourite excerpt from the book I found it so touching.
” You, My beautiful kitten, are worth all the
stars in the sky. You’re worth this mountain
retreat. You’re worth a Thousand or me …..”
A Great read and I feel blessed too be able to review it.
