I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
I was over joyed to get my hands on this book for weeks I kept hearing such good things about it, so when I finally got it I new I was a goner I was immersed in to a new world of love passion and intrigue.
Elizabeth Rhey is a renowned world-class singer she has come home to Northwest London to finish of her final dates of her last tour. Then everything changes when her obstinate brother yet again gets himself in to a heap load of trouble with the police.

Know she has found herself all caught up in a big police investigation, where even some of her past secrets are starting to catch up with her.
Gareth Buchanan has been Beth’s bodyguard for a while now and yes it really wasn’t his chosen career but needs must, it was one he just happened to land after his much needed break from the police force.
When Beth’s brother is killed and then the investigation around his death starts too unfold quickly, he finds himself getting closer and closer as everyday passes . Now he finds he has this a need to protect her keep her safe from any harm. But Gareth is in for a shock as well when he is forced to confront his own ghosts from his past.
Both their lives will be turned upside down when they find out who is truly behind her brother’s tragic death. Can they both face their past to find the peace they need for their future?
This is a wonderful tale of love, romance, intrigue, twists and and a tragedy, It is wonderfully written and told in such a way that makes us the readers yearn for more.
Gareth is a wonderful character you can see his struggles especially those in regards to Beth and how he just wants to protect her from the very danger that is o so close to them that neither of them truly realise. He is such a strong and brilliant lead character and just the right man for Beth.
Beth now she is a character that I can truly bond and sympathise with, she has used her fame to protect her heart but now it is on the line for her bodyguard Gareth yes he makes her heart skip a beat but is he her future? She is unsure even though its right in front of her face what she truly needs. I found Beth an endearing character she has her faults she has a past but it makes me love her even more no one is perfect after all.
To sum this book up is hard as I thought it was brilliant it shows just the type of author Jessica Stevens is and I personally think she is one of the best.
