I was gifted a copy of this book via netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
This is the first book iv read by Dani Jace so i was uber excited to get stuck in, and right from the start i new this book was going to be a hot and steamy read. JoAnn Mercer was on her way to surfer stardom when her career as well as her reputation takes a huge nosedive thanks to a backstabbing vindictive ex. Now she has decided to go back home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and staying well clear of men for good or so she thinks. Jo is desperately in need of a job and comes to realise that joining the local fire fighting squad is the perfect solution for her, until she realizes one of her co workers is an old crush that she has never quite got over …. Ray Andrews has never been known to run away from a fight. He has served his country Heroically in Iraq, and he has battled more fires than he could ever count. But there is something he cannot fight this desire burning bright between him and JoAnn Mercer. He has watched Jo grow in to the most stunning woman ever, he has wanted Jo for as long as he can remember, but a promise that he made years ago has kept them very much apart. Finally they are free of all obligations, And Ray is locked loaded and ready to prove he’s the only man for Jo. But can Jo let go of the trauma from her past? Can Ray convince her to love again? Can they have there happily ever after? What a fiery book i just loved it i thought the characters were strong and very well written, i enjoyed learning more about the fire fighters as well as how much they have to do to become a fire fighter, i also loved the touch of girl power to the book, as well as it making me think of how many brave men and women who put themselves out there to rescue us. Fantastic book i do hope we get to see more from Ray’s and Jo fire fighter friends and discover who will be next to fall in love. 5 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books |
