Beauty And The Rake

I was gifted a copy of this book via netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

Erica Monroe takes us on a journey or two wounded souls coming together as one despite tragedy and things getting in there way.

Abigail Vautille grew up in the very heart of the London rookeries, toiling hard as a factory worker until a very tragic night that leaves her with wounds and a disfigurement as well as being unable to weave. know Faced with two options either starvation or prostitution, so she strikes a deal with the very rogue who owns her father’s debts and if he excuses this debt, she will for two weeks give her body to him, but of course not her heart.

Inspector Michael Strickland of the Metropolitan Police has always had a certain way with women after all he is charming as well as good looking. Success has comes easily to him, he is lucky as he glides through life on his looks and his family name.

But once he see’s Abigail she lights a passion within him he has never knew existed. And know as he gets to know her, he has realized that this two weeks with her won’t ever truly be enough. He sees her beauty within and not the beast she herself believes she is.

Their love is the forever kind the one you read in fairytale’s

Yet Abigail’s own scars run more than just skin deep. And now with the ending of their agreement so close by, can Michael convince Abigail she’s exactly who he wants? The beauty and his forever love.

This book was well paced and a great read i found it very compelling and truly heart warming. the way Erica writes is a joy to read as well as her well written characters.

About cariadbooksblog

Hi Everyone! My name is Heidi and I hail from the beautiful city of Cardiff. When I’m not lost in a book you can find me crafting. I love to make and create unique and awesome author swag as well as custom designs, Jewellery and just about anything else that I can teach myself. I’m also a total film junkie, too. I love romances (obviously!), comedies and Disney films. My true passion in life, though? Reading. I love the way you can pick a book up and get immersed in it. While I read romance of all types, I especially enjoy menage and paranormal and all the naughty taboo books. I’m planning to blog most days of the week. It might be a cover reveal for an upcoming release I’m excited about or teasers. You’re most likely to find a review. Authors, if you’d like me to review your book, be sure to contact me!
